T-Cell

T-cells are special white blood cells that help protect your body from germs and unhealthy cells. In Defender Academy, everyone simply calls them Defenders.

Meet the Defenders

Many of the Defenders and places in this story are inspired by real cells and
systems inside your body.

B-Cell

B-cells are teammates of the T-cells. They make antibodies—tiny helpers that recognize and fight germs and help your body remember how to fight them again.

Builder Cells

Dusty and the other Builder Cells are inspired by real repair cells called fibroblasts. Fibroblasts help rebuild and strengthen your body after an injury—just like Dusty, they’re always ready to help.

Red Blood Cell

This new Defender brings unique skills to the Somaverse. The Red Blood Cell carries oxygen through your body, giving your muscles, brain, and organs the energy they need.

Guardians of Health & Hope

At Defender Academy, young readers can explore the amazing world inside the human body through an imaginative story about the immune system. Meet T-cells, the brave Defenders who train to protect the body from germs and other threats.
